- Do not godmode: aka. ascribe actions to someone else's character without their consent, however minor. - Your characters are not good at everything; please don't play them that way. - Be active. Characters who are left unplayed without explanation for a month or more will be removed. If you're going to be gone for awhile, just let someone know! - Keep IC and OOC separate! Don't hold personal grudges over things that happened in-character, and vice-versa.
PLOT
Dark themes are allowed and are expected, but please run major plots (death/murder/rape/pregnancy/serious injuries) by a mod first, and we'll try our best to work it into the plot!
Weekly game-wide plot posts will be up for your convenience, featuring new locations and situations. Occasionally, characters may be given random, surprise plot prompts that are participation-optional and simply there to keep things unexpected.
PBs
There are no 'banned' PBs here, and PBs are a representation of your character rather than a reflection of how they look exactly. Obviously, finding icons of actors that are real human oddities would be next to impossible, so just pick one that best suits their personality and let our imaginations do the rest.
FORMAT
RP will take place in the form of threads/AIM logs/GDocs and posted in the midway_ic community. Written notes/messages between characters can also be posted there. Keep in mind the time period of this game - obviously no cell phone calls/text messages/interlinked journals, etc. Private journal entries can be written in character journals for development's sake, but other characters would have no way of reading and/or commenting on them unless it was specifically indicated that they were left out in the open for others to find.
This is an original character-based RPG, and though the game borrows elements of its setting from the television series Carnivàle, it will not feature any canon characters or plots.
CHARACTER LIMITS
The character limit is set at six per player, as long as their existing characters are in good standing.
